Dear Brothers, Prospective Members, Parents, and Visitors,
Welcome to the website of the Omega chapter of Sigma Chi at Northwestern University. At Omega, we pride ourselves on dedication to friendship, justice, and learning. We strive to build well-balanced men, provide leadership opportunities, support brothers in their individual passions, and actively engage the community. In fact, Omega has produced leaders since its founding in 1869, including world-class golfer Luke Donald and business executive Pat Ryan, the namesake of Northwestern’s own Ryan Field and Welsh-Ryan Arena.
The success of the Omega chapter of Sigma Chi has continued into the present day. The chapter has received a number awards over the past few years, including back-to-back Chapter of the Year awards and recognition for outstanding community spirit, community service, and philanthropic efforts. The annual Derby Days philanthropy has consistently raised over $15,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and brothers spent over 2,200 hours doing community service during the 2011-2012 school year.
Brothers are also actively involved on campus and beyond. Sigma Chi brothers have held such positions as co-chair of Dance Marathon, founder of MARS (Men Against Rape and Sexual Assault), editor-in-chief of campus publication North By Northwestern, president of Club Baseball, and many more. The Omega chapter also prides itself on a dedicated alumni base, exceptional member development, and strong ties both within the brotherhood and outside the chapter.
